| Samples of Caenorhabditis elegans strains from our lab were launched in space today from the Kennedy Space Center in USA, as part of an international research project with the aim of studying how space flight influences organismal physiology. Experiments will be carried out aboard the International Space Station (ISS) before samples return to earth for further study. Ápart from Greece, the United States of America, Great Britain, Japan and South Korea participate in this international effort.
